About the Artist: Shiane Salabie is a Jamaican-born illustrator based in the Philadelphia tri-state area. She received her BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. Her cartoony worlds feature amazing characters and happy, colorful energy. Shiane says, “I’m an island girl at heart, so I draw a lot of inspiration from the ocean, fish and tropical flora.” She is also a writer and enjoys children’s books, poems, and fantasy novels.
